Les Eaux-Vives beach

A free, public beach, les Eaux-Vives beach is located on Quai Gustave-Ador, between Baby-Plage and le Port Noir. It will open for the first time in June 2019.

Les Eaux-Vives public beach is located on Quai Gustave-Ador, between Baby-Plage and le Port Noir. While the official opening is scheduled for 2020, it will already be open to the public throughout summer 2019, from 22 June to 29 September.


Les Eaux-Vives beach can be reached via Quai Gustave-Ador. The main entrance is located on the other side of the road from the Parc La Grange. You can also reach it via Baby-Plage.

Vehicles prohibited

Access to the site is prohibited for bicycles, cars, skateboards and electric machines, which must be parked outside, except vehicles used for beach maintenance.

Dogs not admitted

Dogs are not allowed on the beach, even on a leash.


Like any public bathing area, swimming at this beach is not supervised. Bathing areas can be found on the website of the State of Geneva: bathing plan


Les Eaux-Vives beach provides the following amenities:

  • toilets;
  • showers;
  • drinking fountains;
  • waste recycling area. 

The following are prohibited:

  • barbecues, grills and fires;
  • camping;
  • music amplifiers (in particular speakers).
